Keynote Speaker:

Roland Postma - Young Urbanist

Exploring the nexus between public spaces and sustainable density for a growing City Bowl

Roland will talk around the themes of roads and urban waterways as public spaces, the tough choices that have to be made between how space is used because it is at a premium and even more so with pressure to densify, and so the need to exercise and negotiate the different priorities at play with making these choices… linking to urban planning and by-laws.

Be involved in CIBRA

Many of the current CIBRA Exco members are not standing for re-election after years of service. If you want to see CIBRA continue, you need to get involved.

2024 has been a very busy year with lots of meetings and engagements with the City of Cape Town and other interest groups. We’ve researched topics, tried to collaborate where we’ve needed help and just fought for the benefit of our community. It has been hard work and we’ll reflect on our efforts at the AGM.

CIBRA needs your help:

CIBRA has a constitution, a structure, a website and some financial resources accumulated from membership fees, but needs volunteers to adapt to the changing times.

Do you have time and skills to give?
